4. Network connections and other parties

What we do not do. We do not upload your documents. We have not added any analytics, advertising, attribution or crash-reporting service of our own to the app. The app is built to use its program code, fonts and OCR language data from files packaged inside it, not from the internet.

Google Play. Subscriptions use the Google Play billing system, and the app contains Google's Play Billing Library.

Reports and reviews from Google to us. As the publisher of the app we can see sales and financial reports in Google Play Console. According to Google's documentation these can include the order number, product, buyer country, state and postal code, device model, amounts and status of the order. We use them for accounting, tax, refunds and support. If you write a review of WO PDF in Google Play, Google Play Console shows us your user name, star rating, review text and time stamp, and sometimes device, app version and language details; we may reply to it. Google also provides us with crash and performance statistics (Android vitals) collected from devices whose users chose to share usage and diagnostic data with Google; the app does not include a separate crash-reporting service of our own.

When you share a file. If you send a file to another app or person using the Android share sheet, the recipient receives it and handles it under its own terms.

Android components. The app shows its screens using Android System WebView. Open-source libraries used by the app are listed at Open-source notices.

5. Permissions

PermissionWhy
Internet and network stateDeclared by the app and by the Google components built into it, such as the Google Play billing components. The app does not use it to send your documents.
Google Play billingLets you subscribe and lets the app check your subscription.
Read and write external storage (Android 9 and lower only)Lets the app place copies in the Documents folder on older Android versions.

The app does not request access to your location, contacts, microphone, camera, notifications, or the advertising ID.

6. Contacting us for support

If you write to us we receive your email address, your message, and any attachments or device details you choose to send. We use them to answer you and to handle subscription, refund and support requests. Please do not send documents that contain sensitive information unless it is necessary. Giving us this information is voluntary and you do not need to write to us to use the app; without it we cannot handle your request. Support messages are handled through our email service, Google Workspace (Google). Only an email that you decide to write to us yourself, from your own email account outside the app, goes through it; WO PDF does not send your documents on this route. Section 7 describes transfers abroad.

7. Who receives your data and transfers abroad

We do not receive your documents, photos, signatures or recognized text, so we cannot pass them on to anyone.

The personal data we do hold (support messages, sales records and reviews, see sections 4 and 6) may be passed on only for the purposes described in this policy and only as far as needed, to:

Payments for subscriptions are processed through Google Play. For the payment data that Google Play collects from you, it acts as a data controller in its own right and under its own privacy policy, and your card or bank details are not available to us. Reviews you write in Google Play are published and managed by Google Play. The sales records and review details that Google Play Console shows us as the publisher are described in section 4.

Some recipients may be located outside your country. Google Workspace, which handles the support messages you choose to send us, may process data in countries outside Türkiye and the European Economic Area, including the United States. Where such a transfer takes place, it is made under the safeguards that the GDPR recognises (for example standard contractual clauses) and, where Turkish law applies, by the methods that Article 9 of the KVKK permits. For a summary of these safeguards, write to info@viq.com.tr. Your documents are not part of this route: WO PDF does not send them to us or to Google Workspace, and only a support message that you choose to send us yourself enters it, together with any attachment you decide to add.

8. How long we keep data

9. Security

The app keeps its library in its own private storage, which Android separates from other apps. The app does not add its own encryption on top of that, so the protection of your files also depends on your device lock and device encryption. Files in the Documents/WO PDF folder are ordinary files and are not protected by the app. Backups are turned off, so the app's library, signatures and unfinished scan draft are not included in Android cloud backups or device-to-device transfers. If you change phones, share or export the PDFs you want to keep first.

10. Your choices and rights

You control the files on your device. We cannot see, recover or delete them for you; see Data deletion for how to remove them yourself.

For the personal data we do hold (support messages, sales records and reviews), depending on where you live you may have the right to ask us for access, correction, deletion, restriction, to object, or to receive your data. Write to info@viq.com.tr. We may ask you for information needed to confirm who you are. We answer within the time the applicable law requires (for example, one month under the GDPR and 30 days under Turkish law).

European Economic Area and United Kingdom. Under the GDPR you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection (Articles 15 to 21), and the right to complain to a supervisory authority in the country where you live or work or where you think the problem happened (Article 77). In the United Kingdom, the supervisory authority is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). Where we process support messages and reviews we rely on our legitimate interest in answering you (Article 6(1)(f)); for subscribers and refunds on the performance of the subscription (Article 6(1)(b)); and for accounting records on legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)). Who receives your data and whether it leaves your country is described in section 7, and how long we keep it in section 8.

Turkey (KVKK). Under Law No. 6698 you may apply to us about the matters listed in Article 11, and complain to the Personal Data Protection Board (Article 14). The full information notice required by Article 10 of that law is in the Turkish version of this policy.

California. To the extent the California Consumer Privacy Act applies to us, you may ask what personal information we hold, ask us to delete or correct it, and you will not be treated differently for using these rights. The personal information we may hold is limited to identifiers (such as the email address you write from or the user name on a Google Play review), commercial information (purchase records provided by Google) and the content of your messages and reviews. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

11. Children

WO PDF is intended for people aged 18 and over. It is not directed at younger children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe that a child has sent us personal data, write to info@viq.com.tr and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, we update the date at the top and publish the new version at this address. If a change affects how your data is handled, we will also mention it in the release notes of the next app update.
